Here’s how it works: RCTA uses radar sensors discreetly placed in the rear corners of your Buick. When you shift into reverse, these sensors activate, scanning for approaching vehicles from the left and right sides up to a certain distance (around 65 feet). 

What does RCTA do if it detects a crossing vehicle? 

• Visual alerts: A warning will appear on your rearview camera display, typically with flashing red triangles and arrows pointing in the direction of the approaching vehicle. 
• Audible alerts: You’ll hear a distinct beeping sound to grab your attention.
